Ryan Bondfield
Ryan helps clients work out which ideas are worth backing - and whether existing programs are delivering on their promise. A health economist with more than six years’ consulting experience, he looks at what services cost, what they achieve and whether a different approach could deliver more. His work spans primary and community healthcare, mental health, workplace safety and social services. Recent assignments include putting a value on preventing asbestos-related disease to testing the case for bringing primary healthcare and social housing together.

Ryan’s superpower
Ryan’s superpower is assessing value when the evidence is imperfect. Programs rarely come with a perfect dataset, and some important benefits are difficult to put a dollar value on. Ryan combines economic modelling and program data with insights from qualitative research to build a fuller picture of what a program is worth.
He makes the assumptions clear, explains where the evidence is strong or thin, and turns detailed analysis into advice clients can use - without needing to become economists themselves.
