Review of Victorian Tuberculosis Program

Review of Victorian Tuberculosis Program

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services engaged HealthConsult to review the Victorian Tuberculosis Program which was under contract to Melbourne Health at the Peter Doherty Institute.  A key objective of this review was to identify achievements and opportunities for improvement in the future.  This project involved review of program documentation and current best practice as well as extensive targeted one-one one interviews with key program stakeholders.  The outcome of the review was a report that described the effectiveness and impact of program delivery post relocation to Melbourne Health.  It also articulate the strengths, challenges, opportunities and sustainability of the program.  This review formed the basis of options for consideration to further enhance and strengthen the Victorian Tuberculosis Program.  The project commenced in March 2017 and concluded May 2017.
