Evaluation of the Aged Care Workforce Reform Project (2012)

Health Workforce Australia (HWA) engaged Health Policy Analysis, working in partnership with HealthConsult to conduct a national evaluation of HWA’s Aged Care Workforce Reform (ACWR) Project. The ACWR Project seeks to implement workforce capacity and capability innovations in four focus areas, namely safe medications management, residential aged care facilities, early intervention in functional decline and complex care coordination, building on learnings from the Caring for Older People program (CfOP). The evaluation project consists of the development of a comprehensive evaluation framework, establishment of key evaluation infrastructure, collection of data from projects at specified time periods throughout implementation and reporting on the final outcome of individual projects by stream and the project as a whole. The project commenced in July 2012 and was completed in April 2014.
