Evaluation of the Active and Healthy Ageing Adviser Initiative

Evaluation of the Active and Healthy Ageing Adviser Initiative

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services engaged HealthConsult to conduct a formative evaluation of the Active and Healthy Ageing Adviser (AHAA) Initiative.  A formative approach was used to inform the ongoing design, development and implementation of the Initiative.  The evaluation involved review of the Initiative and related documentation, along with a stakeholder survey and targeted one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders including incumbents in the AHAA position.  The evaluation produced a report which provided an assessment of the impact of the Initiative achieved to date and identified Initiative enabling factors and challenges.  The evaluation also developed process and impact measures, and associated data collection tools, that AHAA could implement to ensure the ongoing evaluation and monitoring of the Initiative.  The project commenced in June 2017 and concluded in November 2017.
